PLC Library Test Engineer

• Testing of function blocks for Festo PLC (Codesys) for motor controllers

• The products you will be working on are used in a wide variety of industries and machines such as robots, packaging, assembly, testing, and process machines.

• Working in an interdisciplinary, international, and agile product team, creating test specifications and communication analysis for automation systems (PLC controller, bus interface, input/output modules with different Industrial ethernet protocols) and test benches under consideration of international and internal Festo testing standards.
• Design, development and maintenance of test strategies, test environment and test setups for function modules.
• Analyzing the collected test results and prepare test protocol.
• Create the corresponding User Documentation of the PLC-programs and function blocks and instruction how to implement Festo automation product into PLC program.
• Maintaining and optimizing existing test methodologies.
• Developing technical research and feasibility studies and new test solutions.

Technical Competencies and Requirements:

• Master's or bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Automation etc.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Professional Competencies and Requirements:

• Min 3 to 5 years of experience in relevant field
• Experience in automation and commissioning
• IEC61131-3 programming
• knowledge in softmotion as well as Python, IIOT, MQTT, OPC-UA
  would be an advantage
• Preferably practical experience in remote IO systems and PLC programing (Codesys, Siemens TIA, Beckhoff, Rockwell etc.)
• Knowledge of products and applications in the field of Electric Automation and Automotive industry is desirable.
• Previous experience in Functional Safety is an advantage.

semiconductor capital equipment and systems.
