Software Architect jobs in India

We are seeking a Principal Software Architect for a role focused on developing and implementing high-level software designs and platforms. This position requires a thorough understanding of various programming languages and architecture models.

You will offer technical leadership and create architectural blueprints for the engineering team. Collaborating closely with senior stakeholders, you will analyze user requirements and oversee the design, development, and execution of software solutions to meet those needs effectively.

• Lead Cloud Migration: Drive the transition of data center-based infrastructure to AWS, focusing on containerization and the migration of up to 40 servers.
• Architecture & Design: Collaborate with software engineers and architects to design cloud-based solutions that are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance.

As an AWS & Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a critical role in leading the migration of our infrastructure, designing scalable and secure cloud solutions, and optimizing our document and EDI platform. You'll collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, and other infrastructure teams to make key architectural decisions, ensure high performance and security, and oversee the successful transition to the cloud environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Architecture and Design: Work with software engineers and architects to make cloud architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, security, and performance of the platform.
• Process Improvement: Review and optimize cloud-related processes, ensuring smooth transitions and continuous improvement.
• Security Implementation: Evaluate, discuss, and implement security requirements, ensuring compliance with best practices for cloud applications.
• Concept Creation: Design cloud concepts focusing on scalability, security, and performance to meet business requirements.
• Documentation: Create clear and maintainable documentation to ensure transparency, effective knowledge transfer, and ease of operation in the cloud environment.

what we are looking for

Technical

• Cloud Platforms: Deep experience with AWS services, including Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR), Amazon RDS with Aurora Serverless, Amazon S3, and Amazon ECS with AWS Fargate.
• CI/CD & Automation: Experience with GitLab CI, EC2-based runners, and automation tools such as Renovate Bot and Semantic Release.
• Security: Knowledge of AWS Secrets Manager, AWS Systems Manager, and secure access configurations for cloud environments.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Docker, ECR, ECS, and container orchestration tools.
• Monitoring & Observability: Familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry for performance monitoring and metric capturing.
• Database & Storage: Experience with MySQL on Amazon RDS, Aurora Serverless, and file storage solutions like Amazon S3.
• Scripting & Configuration Management: Familiarity with AWS Lambda, Liquibase for schema management, and experience with configuration management for scalable cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with software solutions in cloud environments.

Personal

• Require 7+ years of technology experience with trending technologies.
• At least 5+ years of experience in design and development of software, experience with large multinational organisations is highly preferred.
