Objective:A "Junior Software Engineer" is a junior professional focused on supporting the design and implementation of inhouse-built or in the integration of third-party software solutions (incl. software-as -a-service) used by our business teams. You will be part of a platform team, assisting with all aspects of software design, coding, documentation, and 3rd level operations support.Productivity and Quality * Translate business requirements into implementable code for the development of high performing, secure and cost-efficient solutions that satisfy business' needs* Design, build, test, and fix codebase of business application platforms, ensuring availability and reliabilityCollaboration * Work closely with and follow guidance provided by senior members of the team* Effectively communicate with business users and team members* Further develop communication and relationship building skills, and confidently interact with business users on issue resolution and the implementation of their requestsLeadership * Proactively build subject matter expertise in the respective business and platform with little guidance (i.e., self-ownership)Compliance * Timely complete all compliance obligations and trainings* Fully understand the compliance, security and operational responsibilities in your area of work Hiring guidance: The typical education and professional experience for a Junior Software Engineer is a bachelor's degree plus up to 2 years of relevant working experience or working in similar role. Alternatively, a fresh graduate with an excellent grade percent average may be hired directly into this role. A successful candidate has basic programming experience, preferably in Python and/or Java and knowledge of software development lifecycle, databases (SQL) and operating systems.
As a Software Engineer, you'll be a key part of a team improving a discrete set of tools and processes into a repeatable, automated, and audited pipeline to better onboard and process data for clinical trials. You will be working with clinical counterparts to improve their work pipeline as well as automating system validation and documentation efforts for a low-friction rigorous product.

The candidate will lead the ECL Management and Loss Forecasting team. The ideal candidate will have a background in credit risk management and financial modeling as well as a cost controller. This role involves providing annual and monthly loss forecasts/estimates to support budgeting. He/she will work closely with various departments like finance, collections, risk policy and others to carry out the above activities.
